The Australian government is due to start a series of field trials this month in order to filter websites that are harmful to children. Many from the internet industry and freedom of speech groups fear that if the filtering system is implemented, then other illegal content as well as material the government deems inappropriate could be added and blocked in the future.

good if it's just for children. The fear is that government can get out of hand and start censoring sites that keeps government itself in check. This was the purpose of the militias of america. Today we have an info war going on and the new militia is the cyber militia which keeps goverment in check. Of course, Government doesn't like to be kept in check, so this is the big taboo that needs to be openly addressed. Of course, government is always censoring information fromt he public anyways. It's just that the last big hope of the people for truth is the internet and government s don't like that.

no, its not good if is just for children.. there can be no compromise on this. no censorship at all because before you know it.. Alex Jones and Ron Paul videos will be deemed "innapropriate" and filtered out.
